...for a better future

Welcome to our blog!

Every Friday we are going to talk to the children to see what their favourite parts of the week have been. This will then be uploaded to this page so you can see what we have been learning.

This week we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly in Literacy. Darcy said they start off as eggs, Noah told me the eggs crack and out come as caterpillars. Harry said the caterpillars create their own cocoon or chrysalis. James said the special word for caterpillars turning into butterflies is metamorphosis. Ronnie and Alexia said they then turn into butterflies!

In Maths we have been learning how to add more to a number. James said in maths, we put a number in our head and counted on from that number.

Jordan said his favourite activity this week was the water tray as there were lots of different fruits (such as oranges, limes, lemons, and pomegranate).

Every afternoon this week, we went to different classrooms and places, to make art work relating to the Queen. Ronnie said we built Windsor Castle out of Lego. Lara said I made the Queen’s head out of clay. Amelia said I liked printing because first I had to draw a picture of the queen, then I used a pencil to draw the outline of the queen on the polystyrene, then I used paint to make a print on the piece of paper. Daniel said I helped with the cutting and sticking when I was in the hall creating a collage of the queen.

Have a great weekend!
