Week Beginning 16th May 2022
This week, Year 6 have been busy rehearsing their PGL class assembly - we have enjoyed looking back at our memories of the trip and recalling our favourite moments and events.
In Literacy this week we have been learning about the Story of Lego and have started to write our own recount of how this famous toy started out and the origin of the name. We enjoyed watching the video about the story of Ole Kristiansen - the carpenter from Denmark who invented this world famous toy.
In Maths this week we have been focusing on algebra - sounds hard? We have been learning how to write algebraic expressions and that letters are used to represent unknown amounts in sums.
During Art Week, we have enjoyed experiencing different Art activities: making a castle for the Queen from LEGO, creating a bust of the Queen from clay, printing a new stamp and helping to create a large scale collage of the Queen.
Next week, we will continue to look at Algebra in Maths and finish off our LEGO reports. We will also be preparing for our Jubilee Party, which is Friday afternoon - we look forward to seeing you for our celebration picnic.
