We are certainly living in strange times and the nation has experienced two lockdowns of its schools over the last couple of years. Sadly, coronavirus is still with us and so we should all be vigilant. If your child is unwell and showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, we would ask parents to air on the side of caution and keep them at home. These symptoms are:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
Your child must stay away from school until they are symptom free OR have had a negative test result.
Tests need to be carried out in the first 5 days of having symptoms. You can choose to go to a test site, or you can order a test to carry out at home. You should only order a test if you have symptoms. More details and a link to the test ordering can be found in this website:
At school we currently operate with two Risk Assessments. The first is for our normal practice. The second will be used in case of an outbreak of coronavirus at the school. This would mean that five people in the same class have tested positive for Coronavirus.
